Booking excludes Scuba, Camping and Wild Swimming
1. Booking and Payments
- · Advance Booking: Your online booking fee of £5.50 covers site entry for ONE adult and secures a space for ONE vehicle only. Booking is required to manage numbers of day visitor vehicles on site and the booking fee is non-refundable.
- · On-site Fees: All additional Vehicle Passengers will pay the entry fees and any charges for self-launch of your own vessel/s upon arrival at the Clearwater Activity Centre reception.
- · Accepted Payments: We accept both cash and card payments for all on-site transactions other than the cash deposit required for hire equipment.
- · Equipment Hire: All hire equipment must be paid for on the day and signed for by an adult aged 18 or over. A £20.00 cash deposit is required per 3 items hired, this deposit cannot be paid by card and will be refunded on the timely return of all items hired, undamaged and complete.
- · Equipment return: Equipment must be returned to a member of staff at the end of the hire period.
2. Day Visitor Policy
- · Opening Hours: The site gates will be open for day visitors from 8.00 am. You may go on water from 9.00 am.
- We close at 6.00 pm Sunday to Thursday. and at 8.00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
- · No Overnight Stays: We are a day-visit facility only. Sleeping in vehicles, overnight parking, and unauthorised camping are strictly prohibited.
- · Camping Enquiries: If you wish to camp, this must be arranged separately through Spring Valley Lakes, you should visit the Spring Valley Lakes website or speak to their staff regarding camping and glamping booking.
3. Water Safety and Conduct
- · Swimming: Swimming is not permitted in the lake. However, you should not enter the water if you are not able to swim at least 200 metres and tread water for 2 minutes. Splash Zone is available for paddling and dipping. Paddleboards, kayaks and dogs are not allowed in Splash Zone.
- · Safety Gear: Life jackets / buoyancy aids must be worn at all times while on the water.
- · Supervision: Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the water at all times. Children aged 15 to 17 must be supervised by an adult while they are on the water. Under 18 must be supervised throughout their visit to the site.
- · Fishing: fishing is not permitted in the lake. Some species of fish help to control the weeds and are therefore beneficial to the health of the water environment.
- · Wildlife: we ask that you do not feed the water fowl as this disrupts their natural feeding behaviours and could damage the overall health of the animals. Please do not harass, chase or torment the wildlife.
4. Site Environment
- · Eco-Friendly Site: We are an eco-friendly site and ask all visitors to take their rubbish home to dispose of.
- · Dogs: Dogs are welcome and must be kept on leads and under control. Please use the designated bins for bagged dog waste only.
- · BBQs: Only reusable BBQs are permitted and must be 15 inches off the grass. Disposable BBQs are not allowed.
- · Alcohol: No alcohol is permitted on the day-visitor side. Alcohol purchased from the licenced bar bus must be consumed within its designated area.
- · Clean Equipment: You must ensure your craft is clean and free from foreign contaminants such as sand / mud to protect our spring-fed water.
- · Site Speed Limit: A strict 5 mph speed limit applies across the entire site for the safety of all guests and visitors.

A £20 CASH deposit is required per 3 items hired. The deposit cannot be paid by card payment
ALL BOOKINGS ARE NON REFUNDABLE
